During the Swan Vault creation process, you were prompted to verify and confirm your Recovery Phrase backup. You can also use the Temporary Signer feature to check that your written Recovery Phrase matches the key in your Swan Vault.
What you will need
- Your Recovery Phase. This is the list of 12 words you wrote down during the Vault setup.
- Your Jade Device.
Step-by-step instructions
- Log into your Swan account.
- Click View Vault.
- Turn on your Jade device or log out of the current session if it is already powered on.
- Use the jog wheel located on the top of the device to navigate to Options and use the Select button to confirm the selection.
- Next, choose Temporary Signer.

Select Continue and then 12 Words.
- Manually input your Recovery Phrase.
- Select Existing when asked to enter an existing word or display possible options.
- Select No when asked to export the recovery phrase as a CompactSeedQR.
- Select USB for the connection and plug in your Jade device.
- From the Swan Vault dashboard, click Health Check.
- Then click, Start a new health check.

Follow the on-screen instructions and perform the required actions.
- If the Recovery Phrase you entered in step 6 above matches the key associated with your Vault, the Health Check will complete successfully.
- If the Recovery Phrase you entered does not match the key associated with your Vault, you will see a message saying: “This key is not a part of your Vault”. Please contact support for further assistance
