Additional details for your Swan account statements.
Statements are currently available on the web app (not available on the mobile app at this time).
What is included in a monthly statement?
The statement is a multi-page PDF:
- Account Summary (Page 1) — Opening and closing balances for the month in both USD and BTC, across all accounts (Personal, IRA, Entity, etc). Includes the total value in US Dollars based on historical BTC prices. Swan Private clients also see their assigned representative's contact information.
- Individual Account Summaries & Transactions tables — Each account has its own summary table with opening and closing balances, transfers in/out, and an itemized list of transactions for the account. Transaction categories include: Bitcoin buys/sells, USD deposits, USD withdrawals, BTC deposits, and BTC withdrawals. Transactions are listed in chronological order.
- Disclaimers — disclaimers for Swan and our external vendors
How do I access my statements?
- Log in to your Swan account
- Click your name in the top right to access the menu, then click “Statements”
- Click "View your statements"
- Download the PDF for any month
What transactions are reflected in the balances?
Only settled or confirmed transactions are included:
- USD deposits and withdrawals (ACH, wire)
- Bitcoin buys and sells
- Bitcoin withdrawals to external wallets
- Bitcoin deposits from external sources
Pending, failed, refunded, or reversed transactions are excluded from statement balances.
Are statements provided for partial months?
Statements are available for any month where there was an active account. If an account was only open for a partial month, the statement will still be included.
Can I see view statements for old archived accounts?
Yes. If an account is archived, statements will be available up until that archival date. If an account is archived mid-month, the statement will be provided.
For archived Prime Trust or Fortress accounts, you can still download your data from the archived account dashboard.
What date and time standard is used?
All calculations use UTC timezone. The statement period covers the full calendar month — from the first moment of the first day to the last moment of the last day.
How is the BTC price determined?
Historical BTC prices are resolved for the statement period's start and end dates.
How is Bitcoin formatted on the statement?
Bitcoin amounts use the format:
₿x.xx xxx xxx
For example: ₿0.12 345 678
Who sees a Swan Private representative section?
Only clients with an active Swan Private membership and an assigned representative. The section displays the rep's name, email, and phone number.
What trade types appear on the statement?
- Recurring Buy
- Instant Buy
- Convert Now
- Limit Order
- Sell
What accounts are supported?
Clients with multiple accounts (e.g. Personal + IRA) receive a single consolidated PDF rather than separate documents. Supported account types:
- Personal
- Traditional IRA
- Roth IRA
- Entity
- Vault
Do statements include gain/loss information?
Gain/loss and cost basis reporting are not included in this version of statements.
Do statements track IRA contributions?
USD deposits into IRAs do not necessarily reflect contribution year, especially in the case of prior year contributions. Those records are maintained with the IRA custodian and will reflect on their statement directly.
Can I use my Swan statement for tax purposes?
Swan monthly statements show your account activity and balances but should not be used as official tax documents. For tax reporting, please refer to your 1099 forms and consult with a tax professional.
