Sometimes customers will accidentally create two separate personal accounts with Swan. Multiple personal accounts by the same user are not allowed by our terms of use so there is the potential for the duplicate account to be closed without notice. If you have accidentally signed up and passed ID verification for two separate personal accounts, please reach out to support to close one of your accounts. This does not apply to you if you have one personal account as well as a second trust account or retirement account.
To close your duplicate personal account, please complete the following steps:
1.) Select which Swan account you wish to close.
2.) Pause that account to stop all future transfers of dollars.
3.) Wait until all US dollars are cleared for purchasing, and then convert it all to Bitcoin using the "Convert Now" button.
4.) Initiate a withdrawal of all of the Bitcoin that you have stored at Swan to your own Bitcoin address after it has unlocked.
5.) Write to our friendly support team requesting an account closure.
This process will allow your existing account to remain open.
