Browser
Swan Vault requires using the latest version of Chrome. Other browsers do not support the WebSerial API (Edge and Opera may be compatible but please use Chrome with Vault).
Operating System
Swan Vault requires Mac OSX 13 or above and Windows 11.
Older operating systems might not have the latest protections against online threats. Updating your computer ensures you have the best defences against potential risks and keeps your computer running smoothly and securely. Take a moment to ensure your computer meets the recommended operating system requirements and consider upgrading if not.
If you do not adhere to the minimum system requirements above, you can use Jade's on older operating systems. Swan does not recommend this, please use OSX 13+ or Windows 11.
Device drivers
A device driver is sometimes needed to help your computer communicate with external devices, like your Jade device. When you connect your Jade to your computer, the driver acts as a bridge, ensuring the two can exchange information smoothly. Without the right driver, your computer might not recognize your Jade or be able to use all of its features.

* If your device requires a driver on macOS, make sure to choose the wchusbserial option from the serial port prompt on your browser after the driver is installed successfully.
** Once your Jade is connected, Windows Update should install the driver.
