If you’d like to learn more about how you can hold Bitcoin in your retirement portfolio, book a call with one of our Swan IRA specialists today.
Here are the steps you need to follow to transfer your Swan IRA funds to your new IRA custodian:
- You can transfer your Swan IRA funds to your new IRA custodian in USD or BTC. If you want to convert some of your Swan IRA BTC into USD, please email ira@swanbitcoin.com with the amount of BTC you would like to sell.
- Contact your new IRA Custodian to complete their transfer paperwork. After you sign and complete it, send it back to them for review. Some of the information you might need:
- Transferring Custodian Name: Fortress Trust
- Fortress Trust Account Number: Your Swan IRA account Number (FT...)
- Ask your custodian to send a copy of the IRA transfer paperwork to ira@swanbitcoin.com.
Once we receive the IRA paperwork from your new custodian, it will take 5 to 10 business days for the funds to be transferred. For BTC outbound transfers, we will first send a micro-test deposit of 0.001 BTC and once received, we will send the remaining balance.
If you have any questions, you can reach out to ira@swanbitcoin.com.
