Thank you for being a part of the Swan Mission!
Swan allows you to set up automatic Bitcoin withdrawals to a wallet that you have saved with Swan. To set up Bitcoin auto withdrawals, scroll down in your dashboard to the auto withdrawals section where you will see an image like the one below.
Click "Set up Auto-Withdrawals" it will allow you to set the threshold for your autowithdrawal plan. Your threshold options are determined by your plan size. If you have a larger plan size, you will see larger options for your threshold. The lowest threshold is always weekly. If you wish to withdraw your Bitcoin more frequently than once per week, you will need to do so manually.
Note: Know that once the threshold is triggered, it will withdraw all the funds you have cleared to unlock.
You can then select the wallet that you wish to withdraw to. You can choose to add a single address or use our extended public key feature to upload multiple addresses at one time. Read here for instructions on how to connect multiple addresses at once.
If you are adding a new wallet, you will now need to name your wallet. We recommend choosing a name that has some meaning to you but might appear random to outsiders. For example: in the images here the wallet is named "The Pelican".
After you have named your wallet, you now need to input a public address generated by your wallet. This tells Swan where to send your Bitcoin to. You will find this address in your wallet by clicking the "Receive" or "Receive Bitcoin" button (or something similar).
Note: We can only send to Bitocin addresses that start with a "1", "3", or "bc1" or "bc1p".
Note: Double-check the address is inputted correctly. Make sure all the numbers, letters, and capitalization of the letters of the address match your wallet address.
Finally, you must confirm the wallet added to your auto-withdrawal plan by signing into your email account and confirming this in the email sent from Swan. This email expires after 24 hours if the auto-withdrawal plan is not confirmed by email. You can resend another email by going to the Withdrawal section in your dashboard, and clicking "Resend Email".
And that's it! Now your Bitcoin will be automatically withdrawn at the threshold level you chose, and to the wallet you provided. Congratulations on taking your Bitcoin into self-custody.
