Please note: Direct Deposits & Push ACH Transfers are currently not supported for Bakkt accounts.
We are working to restore this functionality as soon as possible and will update this page.
Background:
Direct Deposit/Push ACH enables customers with US bank accounts to deposit directly into their Swan accounts. Please do not use the alternative routing number for any deposit that is ACH or Direct Deposit related. If your bank is not recognizing the primary routing number, please reach out to support@swanbitcoin.com for assistance.
Using Direct Deposit for Payroll
If you are employed, you can use this information in your payroll service or share with your employer the amount that you want to send each payroll cycle. This saves you the hassle of having to do manual transfers every month.
When payroll is processed, that amount will be deposited into your Swan account as US dollars. You can then choose to convert it to Bitcoin at any time. This allows you to earn a part or all of your salary in Bitcoin.
Deposit Instructions:
To send a Push ACH, go to your bank's online transfer portal and follow their instructions to link a new account. You can find your Swan Account details on the Direct Deposit page within your Funding Options for details of your Routing Number and Account Number as seen below:
Test deposits are visible in the "Deposits History" section of your dashboard if you need to validate test deposit amounts. Swan accounts are not currently set up to allow pull ACHes, so banks that require test deposits to be sent back to the originator bank (eg: Citibank, PNC Bank, Schwab, Chase, Fidelity, and Ally) cannot connect via push ACH to Swan.
Processing Time
The ACH transfers will be deposited into your Swan account as US dollars after 2-4 business days. Once it settles in your Swan account as USD, you can then choose to convert it to Bitcoin at any time. Once converted to Bitcoin, funds are available for withdrawal after 24 hours.
Auto Convert
If you would like to automatically purchase Bitcoin as soon as your direct deposit or push ACH lands, you can use our auto-convert feature, as shown below. Here is a link to that feature on your Swan personal account.
