Otherwise, if you own Bitcoin in your own wallet, or on an exchange like Coinbase, CashApp, Gemini, Kraken, or any other exchange, you cannot send it into Swan's custody. If you wish for it to be moved into Swan custody, we instead encourage you to take self-custody of your Bitcoin by sending it to a wallet that you own.
Swan Bitcoin wants to strengthen the Bitcoin network by guiding people toward holding their own Bitcoin in their own wallets. People holding their own Bitcoin strengthens the network. Exchanges holding too much Bitcoin weakens the network. Of course, we will gladly (and securely) hold the Bitcoin you purchase through us until you feel comfortable withdrawing it to your own wallet.
