You can transfer both USD/BTC Swan IRA funds out to a new IRA custodian. If you are looking into transferring your Swan IRA funds to a new IRA custodian, follow these steps:
- Please contact support@swanbitcoin.com to convert your Bitcoin to USD if needed.
- Contact your new IRA Custodian to complete the transfer paperwork. You will complete/sign it and then return it to your new Custodian for review.
- Provide your new IRA Custodian with the email or physical address of your IRA custodian. Please contact us for that address. They will deliver the transfer paperwork once they’ve signed off saying that they’ll accept the cash. A Medallion Signature Guarantee (MSG) stamp is required on the paperwork, which should be provided by the new IRA Custodian
After receiving the paperwork, our custodian will move the cash from your IRA account to your new IRA Custodian via ACH or wire transfer. If you have any questions, please email ira@swanbitcoin.com. If you instead wish to issue a disbursement to yourself, click here.
